Sharing the Love on Facebook
Facebook is the largest Social Media Hangout on the Internet. It's millions of users can connect with each other on a personal, business and social level no matter how many miles apart they are. It is really cool that Facebook allows people to connect on so many levels, that small business and bloggers have found that interaction invaluable.
From brands testing new products, to businesses connecting with the community, to bloggers creating communities of like minded individuals, Facebook is in every home and on everyone's phone. We use it before breakfast and after we have gone to bed. So we should all be experts at sharing the Love on Facebook right? Well, not exactly... Read More

Blogging! Love it? or Hate it?
When I started doing the Podcast for Things In My Head the radio show, I never thought really about doing a blog. In fact, I never really had any good luck with blogging in the past to be honest. I think it was the fact that I felt obligated to...Click here to read this post

See you on Friday!
Can you believe that Christmas is only a few short weeks away? I don’t know about you but to me, this year flew by. But I have to admit that Christmas is my very favorite time of year. So it is okay with me if we celebrate it again so soon! I love the lights on all the houses, I love the sound of excited children as they line up to sit on Santa’s knee. I love to look at the gingerbread houses at Festival Bazaars, and Christmas Music! Yes, I am that person that starts watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas music as soon as Thanksgiving is over. And even though we live in an RV, it gets decorated with lights and holly and holiday swags – all of this makes me feel warm and cozy.
The one thing I don’t love however, is trying to find that perfect gift for people that I don’t know very well – sometimes even for people I do know well, but are hard to buy for. This year however, I found the perfect solution! While strolling across the internet one day, I came across the internet’s version of a Christmas Bazaar, it is called Etsy.com. Etsy is a community of internet shop owners that are crafters, artisans and collectors who sell their special products on an easy to use, fun, and inviting site.
The site is laid out to make shopping a pleasant experience, with categories for anything and everything you could possibly imagine! The reason I like it at this time of year is a little category called ‘Gift Ideas’. Here is where you will find that perfect little something for that extra person or two on your Christmas list. This is where I found inspiration that I just had to share with all of you! If you noticed, the banner at the top of the page now says, “Things Under the Tree” because for the next 4 Fridays on our podcast and on the blog I will be featuring Etsy.com Shops that have some very special and ‘not so ordinary’ products that would make perfect Christmas Gifts. Along with the feature every week, I will also be holding a RaffleCopter giveaway worth over $100! The prize will include one thing from every shop featured over the next 4 weeks. Listen to the podcast and read the blog about how to enter.

Every year around the last week of November in the United States kitchens are going to be buzzing with people getting ready to feed their friends and family the perfect Thanksgiving meal. 3 Holiday Traditions From My Friends...
I love this time of year. I love that everyone starts decorating for fall or for Thanksgiving here in the United States. The smell of cinnamon and pumpkin seems to fill every kitchen and there are pies everywhere! People are talking about how they look forward to seeing family, or traveling to other places to have a meal and spend a little time together before having to get back to the daily grind. This is the time of year we see something we can never ever see again...Click here to Read More!
Once upon a time as November made it's debut, I was invited to Texas State Technical College in Waco, TX to watch a presentation of some of the most prestigious awards the college has ever giving out to students in the faculty of Aviation. My husband is not only a student in Aviation there but he was also one of the award recipients (so proud!). In addition to the awards ceremony, those in attendance got a once in a lifetime treat. We were introduced to an American Legend in the Flesh! Click here to hear all about it...
AND THE WINNER IS....
Just a few short weeks ago, Things In My Head partnered with Feathers Everywhere Productions to produce commercials for our blogger friends. Can You Trust ObamaCare?
Well here it is, my first political post. I have to admit, I am not a political person and that means that all the comments on this blog and in my podcast are strictly my own (to get the whole scoop listen to the podcast!). However, I might have a few insights into what is happening right now with our Government including this 'partial shutdown' that might prove to be interesting if not accurate. So is this shutdown of our government all about the portion of the Affordable Healthcare Act, known as Obamacare? Is it true that the Republicans are causing this? Are the Democrats? Is Obama causing it? Hmmmm.....[Click Here to Find Out!]
NOW ON THE BLOG:
I have to admit something to all of you. I have a couple of hang-ups. Yup, I do. I might seem all put together and confident about everything (not to mention amazingly talented LOL), but alas, there are a few things that...well, frankly I don't like about myself. One is my nose. It is long and pointy and is the perfect Italian schnozz that I have always wanted to change. But, then I heard an interview with Barbara Streisand one day and when asked about getting a nose job, she said she never would because it changes your voice. So.... READ THE REST HERE

Ep. 9 Podcast, September 11, 2013 - Change Your Life - Become an Entrepreneur
Interview with Diane Cunningham, Founder of the National Association of Christian Women Entrepreneurs
So many times over the years I have wanted to start a business. I always thought I have the spirit of an entrepreneur. That is usually about the time three little thoughts go through my head. The first is, "Oh my gosh are you NUTS?!" The second is, "Yeah ok I could be nuts, but what would I even do?", and the third is, "Nah, I love nights and weekends off too much!" Then I put my feet up on the couch and turn on re-runs of Lost. Ok, that isn't entirely true, I don't really watch re-runs of Lost. But the other stuff is true. It seems like such a huge under-taking to start a business. Even if you have an awesome talent, there are so many...To Listen to the interview and read more CLICK HERE
Ep. 8 Podcast, September 6, 2013 - EXTREME COUPONING! with Coupon Coach Lisa
Couponing has been around for a long time. I remember my Grandmother peeling off the labels on soup cans to get the coupon printed on the other side. Now, coupons are everywhere, in the store, on the front of products, hanging on shelves, we can print them from the internet and find them in our Sunday paper. Coupons have always been a way to save money, but what about those people who seem to go crazy over couponing? You know the one's I am talking about, the people you see on television who buy...Click here to listen to the show and see the links!

I thought, “it is too time consuming, and I don’t want to spend that much time sitting and writing, I WANT TO SURF!” Which is my second love, surfing the internet. I wouldn’t say I am addicted (unless of course you have a 12 step program you can recommend), I think I am ok in that area. But there is just...CLICK HERE TO PAR-TAY!

Ep. 5 Podcast, August 17, 2013 - Carla Spacher, The Gluten Free Recipe Box
Interviewing Carla Spacher was a bit selfish on my part. You see, I suffer from Celiac Disease, so I have to eat gluten free in order to stay healthy, and cooking gluten free can be a bit challenging. There are so many different flours, and so many different types of gums and then there is expandex - who knows what that really does? The one thing that is hard about eating gluten free is....LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW HERE...

BONUS MOVIE REVIEW: WOLVERINE 3D
Since we didn't have a podcast this past week, I thought I would enlighten you on the new Wolverine movie out in theatres now. Check out what I have to say about Marvels newest installment of X-Men action films. Of course there are a few secrets that I reveal, and the official movie trailer is at the bottom of the review - but know if it is worth the money to go see the film, let alone in 3D. Can we say small fortune? Oh and bring your glasses with you because there are a few subtitles you will have to read along the way....you read right, not all of the film is in English. Don't worry, it isn't like you have to read Russian really fast or anything, you will have plenty of time to get the jest of what is being said. Now that I have wet your appetite for all things Wolverine ...[CONTINUE]
